A) There are two big studies from Dr. Ornish’s Heart Book from 1987 & 1989. They show that “moderate exercise” is enough to protect the heart. This means approximately 30 minutes of brisk walking every day.

B) The best sources of scientific studies are in the footnotes of Ornish, Campbell, Esselstyn, Kabat-Zinn, & these books Science of Yoga, Harvard Medical School Guide to Tai Chi, Anticancer, UltraMetabolism.

C) There’s a famous Israeli study mentioned in NYT of elderly patients getting off their meds. I still need to track it down (Jeff).
